Frequently Asked Questions
Indeed, both CSA's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) as-a-Service and IMDA's Data Protection Essentials (DPE) Program are eligible for grant support. However, it's important to note that organizations can only choose one of these options. Our recommendation is to begin with the CISO Program, which allows you to attain the Cyber Essentials Mark, and subsequently consider progressing to the DPE Program, which may be accessed by paying a top-up fee.
Organizations have the option to pursue either track independently. Nevertheless, our recommendation is for organizations to initiate their journey with Cyber Essentials through our CISOaaS program and subsequently advance to DPE. The DPE program encompasses additional layers of controls and processes that specifically address your PDPA obligations, providing a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity and data protection.
The typical timeframe for project completion ranges from approximately 2 to 3 months, though some companies have achieved faster results. Effective organizational coordination is crucial for expeditious execution. Prior to our deployment, companies are required to provide comprehensive information about their IT infrastructure, staffing levels, business domains, and operational procedures.
